On a beautiful Monday night in November my travels took me to the Mercer County Coonhunter Club in Princeton, West Virginia for their monthly club meeting and their 1 hour AKC Nite Hunt. I would like to thank Mr. Jim Cook and his group in Princeton for all of their support to The New AKC in 2006. There was one cast that went to the woods on this beautiful night and CNC Thunder Mountain Dawn owned by Melvin Bishop of Princeton, West Virginia came home the winner with a plus score of 225. This is the 10 th cast win for Dawn and finishes her into a Grand Nite. Congratulations Melvin! The 2006 AKC National Championship race will finish up at the end of December with The National Champiopnship Hunt and Show being held in Eufaula, Ala. in February.
