Autumn - The Hunter's Time Of Year
11/8/2005 11:31:52 AM
This is the hunter's favorite time of year, the time of harvest. Across the nation coon hunters are enjoying cool autumn nights when the cry of the hounds rings clear and true and hunters leave home and hearth to tramp the woods at set of sun. Hunting seasons come in for most Midwestern states this week, Ohio being an example. Game populations are healthy and the weather is extremely moderate for this time of year.
Fall foliage, usually reduced to a carpet of leaves by now, is hanging on longer than usual, tilting the tables a bit in favor of the raccoon. Ol’ Ricky is still playing his game of hide and peek, making coon hunting even more challenging.
We on the Coonhound Events Management Team wish you a safe and successful hunting season. We hope that you will harvest sensibly and remember to take a youngster hunting. Coon hunting is a perfect gateway to hunting enjoyment for youngsters and a lifelong adventure for one and all. There's no better time to enjoy it than now, the most anticipated time of year.
Happy Hunting!
