AKC National Championship announced

Raleigh, NC - Billed as "The Hunt For The All American Cup" with a year end championship that will award no less than $25,000 in cash, the AKC National Championship has been announced by the Coonhound Events Department of The American Kennel Club.

ANNOUNCING….The AKC National Championship
“The Hunt for the All American Cup”
An annual competition that includes all cast wins* except World Championship, National Championship Finals, and AKC/Black Gold – Gold Medal Events earned from January 1, 2005 – December 31, 2006
*Only Plus Point Cast Wins Will Be Counted
Featuring…
• A National competition in which everyone can participate! All non-championship AKC events are included.
• Top 16 dogs from  all Breed and State races advance to Championship to be held early in 2007.
• State and Breed Leaders earn $50 per cast win* at year’s end, up to the $500 guaranteed Leader Award. Award may be greater based on participation.
• National Championship to feature minimum cash purse of $25,000.
• Each State Leader and Breed Leader to also receive free entry to the National Championship Finals.
• National Championship Finals hunt location and format to be announced.
• Leaders updated weekly online. Just click on the National Leaders link on the home page menu. You may display the standings by state, breed, sex, and number of cast wins.
