Twin Gold Medal events at Ozark, Alabama

It's a first for AKC!!

Down in the deep south at the Heart of Dixie CHA, located in Ozark, AL, TWO 16-dog Black Gold-Gold Medal events were held in ONE night! Both hunts were filled as the local club put 32 dogs in the woods Friday night. It was a huge success with both final fours voting to split. They included the following:

Jenkins Ira Gene, a Treeing Walker female, owned by Shane Bowman or Jimmy Dan Bond, handled by Wes Strickland, scored +175. Cash Award - $127.00

Gail, a Treeing Walker female, owned and handled by Jason Adams, scored +200. Cash Award - $127.00

Blackwater Hobo, a Treeing Walker male, owned by James Thomas or Bob Dudley, handled by Danny Peters, scored -25. Cash Award - $127.00

Priceless Hank, a Treeing Walker male, owned by Bond/Sterrett, handled by Jerry Bond, scored +150. Cash

Clear Kreek Sambo, a Treeing Walker male owned, by Reggie Byrum, handled by Anthony Griggs, scored -100. Cash Award - $127.00

Thomley Mill Creek Slammin' Abby, A Treeing Walker female, owned by Jeremy Sullivan, handled by Ryan Bond, scored +375. Cash Award - $127.00

Ellie Mae, a Treeing Walker female, owned by Lavonne Barron, handled by Jimmy Phelps, scored +150. Cash Award - $127.00

Lady, an English female, owned by Holland/Gibson/Peek, handled by Freddy Holland, scored +300. Cash Award - $127.00

I would like to thank the Heart of Dixie CHA for doing such a great job on this "Two 16-dog hunts in one night" event. The catfish were delicious as was the breakfast!! Thanks to the ladies in the kitchen for all of their support at the hunt!

REMINDER:

The Heart of Dixie CHA will be holding another 16-dog event Saturday, March 4, 2006 and a 64-dog ($100) event April 28 and 29, 2006. Check the Events Schedule for contact numbers!
