Martinsville, IN- A beautiful and sunny Friday afternoon in central Indiana produced a near perfect night of coon hunting to kick off the 2006 AKC Indiana State Championship. As was the case in 2005, this year’s event is hosted by the great folks at the ACE Coon Club, just east of Martinsville, Indiana.

ACE is one of the strongest coon hunting clubs in the State of Indiana with many hard working members, a very nice clubhouse and 120 acres to enjoy.

The temperature had dropped to seventy-four degrees by drawout time and the full moon was shining so bright you did not need a light to see. Luckily the raccoons largely ignored the bright sky along with the nineteen hunters and their hounds and plus points were had by all.
