GOLD MEDAL STANDINGS
11/3/2006 3:57:16 PM
The audit for the Black Gold - Gold Medal Standings is now complete. All wins posted in the standings reflect hunt reports received from January 1, 2005 thru October 21, 2006. Please be aware of the following factors which impact the standings you see and may also affect your dog’s record:
LATE HUNT REPORT – The club has not mailed the report to us within the 7-day limit and we are still waiting to apply the wins. We have one club that is currently delinquent in providing the report for their Black Gold – Gold Medal event.
Currently Outstanding: Alcovy River CHA 9/30/2006
HUNT REPORT NOT IN – We are still within the 7 day limit and awaiting report.
NOT PROCESSED – We have the report and need to apply the wins. The typical turn around time for this is approximately 5 working days. Note: Once the wins are applied they appear the following day online.
TEMPORARY RECORD - Dog was entered under a UKC or PKC number and now appears in the standings with the designation “NA.” This designation appears because we do not have an AKC number established. We have a temporary record set up which is intended to be used for no more than 30 days. This was intended as a courtesy to hunters who had not yet received their paperwork from AKC or have not sent in their registration paperwork to AKC for processing. If a dog goes beyond 30 days according to the regulations, wins can be withheld. It is your responsibility to get your dog AKC registered. If your dog won while entered on a temporary number and then you received your AKC number, please contact us. We need to be sure all your hard- earned wins are appearing under your new AKC number.
WAITING FOR AKC PAPERS - If you have already sent in registration papers and need to find out the status, please contact us. Getting your new AKC papers should take no more than 2-3 weeks. If it is taking longer – there may be a problem (ie – something cannot be read clearly, or more info may be needed, etc.)
We appreciate your patience while we performed the Black Gold - Gold Medal audit. Should the record for your wins not agree with what is posted in the AKC Black Gold – Gold Medal standing, please contact us and we will look into your individual situation.
The Black Gold – Gold Medal competition will officially end on December 31, 2006 and the Black Gold – Gold Medal Championship will be held as a “by invitation only” event for the Top 16 dogs in the nation on February 15, 2007 in Eufaula, Alabama. You won’t want to miss the opportunity to hunt for the $10,000.00 purse and to enjoy all the activities we have planned for you. The Top 16 Black Gold –Gold Medal invitees will be eligible to compete in the AKC National Championship with a $25,000.00 purse on February 16 and 17, 2007 as well. We hope to see you there.
