First Annual
AKC Heartland Classic
A very special Coonhound Event
“Produced and Administered by the AKC Coonhound Events Management Team in conjunction with Wisconsin and Minnesota area coon clubs and the Tomah, Wisconsin Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.”
Tomah’s Recreation Park, home of the Monroe County Fair
TOMAH, WISCONSIN
July 14 and 15, 2006
You’ve seen Autumn Oaks and the Grand American. You’ve been to Albany, Georgia and to Aurora, Kentucky. But…..until you and your family hunt and play this summer in the heartland of America at the AKC Heartland Classic, you don’t know what you’re missing!
The Coonhound Events Management Team wanted to produce a very special coonhound event that will combine excellent hunting and an exciting format with the perfect family vacation spot as the setting. We found it all in Tomah, Wisconsin http://www.tomahwisconsin.com Just 98 miles from Madison, Tomah is the perfect summer vacation spot and the coon hunting couldn’t be better!
Excellent facilities! The Tomah’s Recreation Park is the home of the world’s largest tractor pull. There’s plenty of room to stretch out at this recreational park. Camp on the grounds or enjoy one of Tomah’s many motels. Located in the heart of Wisconsin’s Amish and Cranberry country, there’s no end of things to do and see and restaurants and shopping galore! Kids will love area attractions like the Water and Skate parks at Warren’s Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park. And, you can extend your stay in the Heartland and take in all the local attractions around Tomah. There’s a ton to see and do! What could be better than getting out of the summer heat and vacationing in Wisconsin in July with your family AND hunting Wisconsin’s and Minnesota’s abundant coon populations with your hounds?
